C.A.C.A. Foundation Announces 2010 Scholarship Winners

The Chinese American Citizens Alliance Foundation (Foundation) is pleased to announce that the following students are awarded the 2010 scholarships: Rosa Chan of University of California - Berkeley, Kayla Chow of University of Pacific, Michael Dee of University of California – San Diego, Derrick Hau of Skyline College/UC - Berkeley, Duo Liu of Pasadena City College/UCLA, Denise Poon of University of California-Berkeley, Mercy Tang of Palomar College/UCSD. This is the 40th years the Foundation has been granting merit scholarships to students of Chinese ancestry. The Foundation and its Board of Officers will host the award dinner on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at the Golden Dragon Restaurant at 6 pm. Please join us for the award dinner and ceremony to honor our excellent students.

Foundation Announces Accepting of 2010 Scholarship Applications

The Chinese American Citizens Alliance Foundation of Los Angeles Lodge is please to announce that it is accepting scholarship applications for 2010.  Eight $1000 scholarships will be awarded to university students of Chinese descent.  Application forms may be downloaded from the Foundation website at www.cacafoundation.org.

Students of Chinese descent studying at a recognized institution of college or university rank in California are welcome to apply.  Students must be presently a sophomore and will be a junior in the fall, 2010.  The scholarships are awarded primarily based on scholastic achievements.  Additional consideration is given to community involvement and extracurricular activities.  Applications must be postmarked on or before June 14, 2010.  Also, applicants must be available for an in-person interview in Los Angeles, tentatively scheduled on July 17, 2010.  Questions concerning 2010 application process may be directed to cacafoundation@gmail.com .

美國羅省同源會獎學金基金會兹宣佈:第40屆 (2010年) 獎學金開始接受申請。今年共有8個壹千元獎學金可供我華裔大學二年級生申請。申請學生必須巳就讀於加州各公立或私立大學,並於今秋昇三年級生;成績優異,不限主科,皆可申請。申請表可從 www.cacafoundation.org下載。申請截止日期為6月14日。申請者必需能在羅省接受面試。

Mo of University of California-Berkeley, Fiona K. Poon of University of California-Los Angeles, Laurie Shiau of University of California-Berkeley, Alexander S. Wang of University of Southern California, and Kebing Zhang of Pasadena City College/UCLA. This is the 39th years the Foundation has been granting merit scholarships to students of Chinese ancestry. The Foundation and its Board of Officers will host the award dinner on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at the Golden Dragon Restaurant at 5 pm. Immediately after the dinner, the award ceremony will be held at the Los Angeles Lodge. Please join us for the award dinner and ceremony to honor our excellent students.
